John draws from twenty years of operations management experience to lead our ministries forward as Executive Pastor in affecting the kingdom of Christ for His glory. John has served the family of Countryside for 11 years as Minister of Music. He believes that worship is a way of life and his music encourages all to experience the abundance of that life.
John brings a variety of musical experiences to his responsibility due to his involvement in bands, choirs, and groups throughout his life. He has participated in recording projects through singing as well as producing and song writing. While in the decade of the nineties, he penned a song entitled "Come to the water" which was labeled one of the top forty songs of the decade for Southern Gospel Music. In the year 2000, John left an exciting regional music ministry called "Lighthouse" to begin serving the community of Lebanon and particularly Countryside Community Church. John leads a wonderful group of people in progressive, uplifting music as they attempt to enter into the presence of the Holy Spirit so that lives can be continually changed through the presence of a Holy God.
John and wife Dee Dee, Logan, and Evan are all involved in ministry within CCC.
Carolyn Johnson
Director of Healing and Life Skills Carolyn has been a part of Countryside since 1978, serving in several capacities.
After 35 years as an Independent Insurance Agent, I retired in 2004 and came on staff to form our Listening Ministry. Ist Timothy 5:5-10 verified the calling and passion of my heart that had been part of me for many years. After raising three children, seeing seven grandchildren grow up, and the death of my husband, I knew it was time to fulfill that calling. My other passion is being a greeter. You will see me each Sunday ready to give love and compassion to those who come through the door. In 2007 I learned about a career in Christian Life Coaching. In my search for schooling, I became affiliated with PCCCA (Professional Christian Coaching and Counseling Academy) out of Cape Coral, Fla. In September of 2008 I was awarded the designation, Certified Christian Life Coach with the credentials to train other Life Coaches. It is so rewarding using Equipping Ministry Listening and Speaking Techniques, and Christian life Coaching in our “Healing and Life Skills Ministry” at Countryside. My core belief is “nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care”. The vision I see for our church family is to communicate this to each member of our congregation so we can minister to everyone that come through our doors and they, in turn, minister to people they touch each and everyday. Justin Staten
Youth Pastor / Director of Youth Ministries
A passion and divine calling to youth is what you want in a Youth Pastor. It takes many things to serve youth. You must be an activities director, a social-media expert, teen counselor, friend, and (to a certain degree) a clown to have an effect on young people. These qualities are valued and expected out of youth pastors in the twenty-first century, but the quality that accentuates all of the aforementioned functions to the fullest degree is shepherd. Without a shepherd, everything else is just activity. A shepherd will take those activities and align them to promote eternal results. Justin is a shepherd. He wants to feed your students the bread of life. He wants to lead them to streams of living water. You have heard the phrase "if you teach them to fish you feed them for a life time..." Justin's heart is to not only teach them to fish for themselves but to help them become fishers of men, so that your student can fulfill their God given destiny. His wife, Jennifer, has served in Youth Ministry along with Justin for many years. She is a great help to him and the young ladies within the ministry. Justin & Jennifer have a young son named Weston and all are committed to serving your students to the best of their ability.
